As a matter of fact this guy just became available... Alabama sophomore right-handed pitcher Luke Holman has entered the transfer portal as first reported by Kendall Rogers of D1 Baseball. Holman becomes the Tide's sixth player to hit the portal this offseason alongside names like Colby Shelton and Bryce Eblin. The Pennsylvania-native worked himself into Alabama's Friday night starting pitching role after Grayson Hitt's injury. Holman struck out 87 batters in 2023 over 81 innings pitched while holding batters to just a .180 average in the box. https://www.si.com/college/alabama/baseball/alabamas-ace-luke-holman-enters-transfer-portal-gaither
Dramatic Finish to the Wake/LSU game. LSU breaks up the scoreless tie in the bottom of the 11th with a 2 run walk off HR. Fla v LSU.
I laughed at the announcers who said the kid was hunting a breaking ball and got it. Then they interview the kid and he tells the field reporter he was hunting a fastball and then he just rambled on in his understandable excitement.
My golfing buddy who is a LSU graduate, hates the Gators...goes back to the Gators refusing to come to Baton Rouge when that Hurricane hit Gainesville area.
All SEC final. One thing that aligns well for the Gators are the pitching matchups. We can go with our best in game 1 where LSU can't pitch their best pitcher until game 3. Regardless I am pretty proud of this group
I typed the last post then didn't post it but just did. 3-2 Gators after 7. Good pitching by both teams.
Gators are not in an enviable situation today, needing a win to avoid elimination. Should be another interesting game.
Sure was impressive Terry. Today is different so far, Gators hit a Grandslam in top of 3ed and lead 7-3 after 3. Make that 8-3 after a throwing error by LSU in top of the 4th.
Of course the fact that the Gators scored the most points ever in a College World Series games and LSU gave up the most the winner tomorrow wins it all.
