Is there something wrong with the strength and conditioning programs?

I remember Vida Blue and those A's teams. Catfish Hunter, Reggie, and fights in the dugout to go along with a crazy owner in Finley.

Looks like fan interference to me.

I thought it was interference when I first saw it as well but if you look carefully you notice a few things. The A's player had already peaked in his leap and appeared to be on his way down and the ball appeared to be more heading out than down. I don't think the player would have gotten his glove on it.

Looks like facing Brewers hitters has cured whatever was wrong with Flaherty.

And poor Varland will be seeing a sports therapist after tonight’s beat down.

I see that Verlander was booed in his first start at Citi, Mets lost 8-5. He would have never been booed in Houston.

Re arm trouble: I'm a firm believer that today's modern pitchers don't have the backs, ass and thighs of pitchers from previous generations. That, combined with the over use of the splitter really put a load on the elbow.

Frambler Valdez goes the full 9 today 2-0 4 hit shutout. He's not Verlander or Cole but he's developed into a very solid starter.

Cards have discovered how to hit again. Took 2 outa 3 from the Crew, 3 outa 4 from the Dodgers, and moved from last to 3rd.

I've known it for several years, since the ND baseball team played a couple of games in the Indy area in a park with a retention pond beside it. Foul balls landed in it and floated. It was news to me at the time.
