What a game between UH and Alabama. The Tide came from 13 points down early n the 2nd half and beat the Cougars 71-65. That was a very physical game, both teams really went inside a lot. I've been used to watching ND basketball which is much more of a 3 point shooting game. Tide did hit some big 3 pointers but they mostly took it to the Cougars at the hoop and succeeded. Great game.
The Illini were upset by Penn State after the game Underwood (the Illini coach) had this to say about one of his players. A tad unprofessional IMHO.
I watched that game and Underword was screaming at his players and coaches. He easily could have experienced a heart attack
Yeah, I completely agree. I guess my overall point is that NU has 3 wins in the last 10 days, with one upset of a ranked Creighton, and took #4 to the wire. I haven't complained about a game changer call regarding NU BB since....never. this team is competitive Finally, and it was disappointing to see the refs screw that up. A win like that could jump start a program that has never been relevant.
No. 4 Purdue survives Nebraska's upset bid but questionable foul call sparks buzz Matt Painter said he thought Purdue had a call go against it late in regulation and then he thought Nebraska had a call go against it in that final sequence – with 12 seconds left in OT. "Nebraska deserved to win the game just as much as we did." "The Huskers' had multiple chances to earn a big upset victory, but empty possessions late proved really costly against Purdue's tough defense."
Wow. Chris Beard the Texas basketball coach is in deep hot water. I don't know what the University will do about this, will they fire him? He's done a terrific job since taking the job 3 years ago. Beard was arrested by police in Austin, Texas, and has been booked on a third-degree charge of "assault of a family/household member impede breath circulation," or strangulation. Austin police told ESPN they received a "disturbance hotshot" call, and officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of Vista Lane shortly after midnight Monday. The Austin Police Department's website defines a "hotshot" call as "incidents which are in progress are an immediate threat to life and/or public safety. ... These calls are dispatched immediately." Said the school in a statement: "The University is aware of the situation regarding Chris Beard. We are continuing to gather information and monitoring the legal process."
Always my #1. Hope it lasts longer than last year. #1 at this point in the season is a revolving door.
