That's not exactly what he's saying. In context, it appears to me that he's saying, It's going to change, and if you don't like the way it's going to be, hit the portal. I don't see anything wrong with that. It wouldn't have been part of the conversation pre-portal. In those days, he might have said, if you don't like the way it's going to be, transfer. At least, that's how I see it.

Now I see the Wisconsin QB is entering the transfer portal, due to the recent changes in head coaches. It would appear to me that Luke Fickell has his work cut out for him right off the bat.

That Wisconsin QB hasn't really been what they expected. He was their highest ranked QB recruit ever but after his destruction of Michigan in his first game he's just been average. His game last year against the Irish he was terrible. I imagine that Fickell will be looking in the Portal where there are going to be a number of pretty good QB's who are looking for a new place to play.

I see that Scott Satterfield, the Louisville coach has taken the Cincy job. He wasn't particularly successful at Louisville barely above .500 overall and below .500 in the ACC. He was a hot coach when Louisville hired him as he'd been very successful at App State.

Big 10 West has added some really good coaches with Matt Rhule at Nebraska and now Fickell at Wisconsin. Rhule will probably have the biggest budget and the best facilities of anybody in the Big 10 West at Nebraska so now can he convert that into competing in the Big 10 Championship.

Uh...no credit again. :Do_O But Tim did call it first I guess.

From Stu; "My prediction (please discount the fact that I'm usually wrong) is OSU at #4 and TCU at #3. If Ga had lost and Michigan was #1 then they would have put OSU at #3. I don't think they want a rematch at the semi-final level."

Leaves maybe a decision for Jeff Brohm. He loves Louisville. Hope he stays where he is.

Alabama just had a starting OL enter the portal. I wonder what the story behind that one is?

Yeah that seems to make no sense. Did he have a good year and expected to start next year as well? Is there young oL behind him that they are anxious to get on the field that would mean he could be beat out by the younger player? Disciplinary issues?

If none of those things then I expect that whatever he's making on NIL at Alabama he thinks he can make more someplace else. I wouldn't be shocked if agents for other schools/NIL interests have been in his ear telling him he can make more at their program.

I'm seeing reports that over 500 players entered the portal today. Including Spencer Sanders the Oklahoma State qB who seemingly has been there since Hector was a pup. He's got some skills has missed some time with injuries and OKlahoma State crashed after a good start this year so not sure why he's in the portal. Did Gundy advise him they were going with some younger player or what?

I think the lack of any class A wide receivers would be the main reason. Our leading receiver is a running back.

I saw a poster who seems dialed in to the Stanford program, say that they have had 16 players go into the portal many of them starters. Stanford due to it's academics, which are likely the most rigorous of all the Div1 football programs, will struggle to replace them with portal players.
