Tennessee and Alabama was an incredible game between two very good teams. I left quickly to watch the Gator game and we are stinking up the place. Down 28-21 at halftime, have not stopped them once and they get the kickoff in the 2nd half. Doesn't look good for my Gators.

Bill, totally agree re how spellbinding that AL-TN was. Incredible crowd and a courageous leave-in-all-on-the-field effort by both teams.

No offense to Tom and Cindy, but the Vol fans went full drunk hillbilly by tearing down the goalposts.
That's a very expensive and stupid thing to do.
Rush the field, and celebrate with the team... but to destroy part of your own stadium is stupidity.

Utah took its first lead, 43-42, with 51 second left in the game scoring on a two point conversion and knocked USC out of the unbeaten ranks.

If you let a team score 52 points....you deserve to lose. Our defense was torn to shreds.

Best game of the year that I've seen by far. Two great offenses, two great QB's, great atmosphere and teams battling at a high level to the final gun. Bryce continues to work his magic, it just seems he doesn't have the same elite weapons on the outside that he has in years past, but that said, the continued stable full of elite wideouts they've had for the past decade is hard to duplicate. Tennessee sent pressure from multiple levels on the majority of snaps. I would have expected more separation by the Bama wideouts than what we saw. Many of the big throws came from Bryce being Bryce. The Hooker kid is legit as is Heupel's offense. Particularly impressed with the job they did on Will Anderson all night giving Hooker time to dial it up downfield and Heupel's offense puts alot of stress/conflict on the corners. The kid is legit beast and still likely to be one of the first kids off the board in the draft. They completely took him out of the game. No easy task, hats off to the Vols, congrats to Tom....helluva game

Kyle... It's the nature of the game today. A really good defense can only hope to get a few extra possessions for their team against a really good offense. Defensive domination isn't coming back.

Probably nobody but AJ and myself watched the Purdue - Nebraska game. Two outstanding performances.

Aiden O'Connell kept threading amazing passes right where they needed to be. Threw for 391 yards and had several drops that should have been caught. Not bad for a walk-on who was once 8th on the depth chart. Purdue has great possession receivers but no speed burners.

Speaking of which...AJ, that Trey Palmer you picked up from LSU is something else. 237 yards receiving. He belongs on Star Trek...just go into the transporter room and then show up downfield where nobody else is around him and nobody is fast enough to catch him anyway.

No sh!t! Not happy with what I saw in that game....PSU had a bye week to prepare and while I knew they were limited on offense, I was expecting their defense to at least keep them in the game and give Clifford a punchers chance to pull something off......ummmm, no, not close. M front completely dominated a decent defense, two very good backs ran wild, the young QB looked like he belongs in scarlet and gray, never punted one time and they absolutely annihilated what I thought was a solid PSU squad. Defense performed equally well. At one point early in the 3rd qtr score was 17-16 PSU and they had collected like 1 first down. No lie. Ugh.......not good on two fronts. 1) PSU always gives us fits in Happy Valley, now they have nothing to lose, backs to the wall, 2) M is legit, showdown in C'bus is going to be one for the ages, it will take a very good football team playing with alot of emotion, executing at the top of their game to prevail, whomever it may be. Big boy pads mandatory. Can't wait.....

I believe I watched more college football yesterday than I can ever remember in a 12 hour period. My better half thought it was a terrible waste of time.:( There were some great games show casing some great and gifted athletes. Michigan State beating Wisconsin was unbelievable to me. Penn State not nearly as good as thought. No such a thing as unbeatable on any given Saturday. Oklahoma is not dead nor is Notre Dame. Until this coming weeko_O

Nebraska is absolutely broke on both sides of the line. Can't get a rush, can't keep our QB clean. Frost did NU wrong last few years. Rumors galore about his personal life and how it kept him from earning his 7 mil a year. He was over his head when he took this job.

Congrats Stu!...it was an exciting game, back and forth wise.

Scott, I agree to a point. If you score 49 points and lose, there is something wrong with your defense. Most of Tennessee's scoring drives took less than 2 minutes. That's not a really good defense. 17 penalties certainly didn't help
