Hate to see any of these kids get hurt, most work their tails off in the off season and to not even be able to play has to be especially tough.

Finebaum called the Irish being rated in the top 10 a big joke.

While I don't agree with the vitriol he expressed, I do think we are rated too high given all the questions we have on offense and breaking in a new first time head coach.

Finebaum will say most anything to stir the pot. He has to to keep people watching. His great talent is antagonizing his call in audience. ESPN gave him a veneer of legitimacy.

He usually has great things to say about Alabama too. I just don't think Finebaum really knows anything about.football.

Finebum is a troll... I don't give him a moment's consideration, so he doesn't warrant a response on any subject.

I agree, Terry. Re: Finebaum. I share the opinions of the other posters. Make it unanimous.

Not exactly the other shoe dropping, but they are unlacing the shoe!

The 11 college presidents and chancellors who make up the College Football Playoff's Board of Managers met via Zoom on Monday and began a discussion that could reshape the future of college sports, sources told ESPN.

Multiple sources told ESPN that the Board of Managers briefly discussed the possibility of restructuring how college football is governed, with the idea presented of major college football potentially being governed outside of the NCAA. The most logical place for the sport to be run outside of the NCAA would be under the auspices of the CFP, which was discussed on the call. The CFP currently oversees the sport's postseason playoff and has contractual ties to other marquee postseason bowl games.

Sources: CFP mulls breaking football out of NCAA

Key thing is that it appears that if and when the B1G expands the pie will get bigger rather than just dividing it amongst more teams

It's huge Don and the SEC is going to get as much or more.

Right now I can't see any of the other 3 conferences coming close to those two in media rights money.

Just out of curiosity, can you think back to when Jim Delaney sold the Idea of the Big 10 Network, did you think it would work?

Terry, at the time I do not really remember my thoughts, but Delany was a thinker and an excellent businessman with great visions.
