Full disclosure on that, it's a hole that if I can hit it up the right side with a little draw my drive lands at spot that kicks it forward and it can roll out. That's what happened on Sunday. Since I went to the Ping G400 Max with their light weight (Alta Distanza) senior flex shaft my drives usually get to 220-230 fairly regularily. Right conditions, firm fairways with rolls and I get out to 240-250 sometimes. That drive happened to have a medium ball flight to beat the wind, that shaft tends to hit a higher ball flight which of course into the wind takes off distance. But Sunday I got the perfect strike.

What kind of Irons? You know if you send those stories of success to the manufacturers...they usually send out freebies to you. I've been doing it for years (sometimes I dont lie) but have to rotate through different brands so they're not onto me.

Did anybody watch the big match between Koepka and Bryson? I didn't, but reading about it wasn't much of a match, Koepka killed him. I guess the only thing that might have held your attention was the commentary by Phil and Sir. Charles.

Didn't bother. Sort of miss the old skin games during Thanksgiving weekend but that was before they changed the schedule, added playoffs, etc.

John Daly and Son won the PNC Championship. I was a fun event to watch. Tiger and Charlie finished 2nd 2 shots back. They had a birdie binge of 10 or 11 straight, Charlie was fun to watch play he's got a great swing for a 12y/o, not a big surprise I guess! You could see that Tiger played in some pain, and he had to use a golf cart.

John Daily looked like a hobo with his long hair and scraggly beard, but he can still make that ridiculous long swing! Son is a more conventional player, plays college golf at Arkansas.

Great seeing Lee Trevino playing again. Saw a video of him showing tiger some wedge shots on the practice tee. Tiger seemed interested which tells me he still is interested in learning about the game. i suspect that the next time we see Tiger on the course will be at Augusta. He didn't look like he could last 18 on a hilly course. He's got a way to go.

One thing I noticed about Tiger off the tee. His right leg is really just there; he kind of drags it through his swing. But a funny result was he was center cut almost every shot; not spraying like he used to. I'm sure he has lost distance but he is in the short grass.

It's pretty rare when the son can match the father at the pro level. None of Michael Jordan's kids, who were good HS basketball players ever came close, Joe Montana had 2 sons play college football with limited success.

Archie Manning is an exception, there are several kids of baseball stars who are doing well.

Still rare, be interesting to watch Charlie and see if he develops into a top rated Junior.

It will certainly be interesting to see how Charlie does amongst his peers, will he be a top rated Junior Golfer, will he play on the AJGA tour. His dad was a big-time winner there as was Phil Mickelson. It's where all the top Juniors play and prove themselves before college golf.

One thing is certain. He will be constantly under a bright spotlight. No doubt his father will help him deal with it.

There are sons of great golfers who have played and won on the PGA tour.

The one that immediately comes to mind is Bill Haas who won the FedEx Cup in 2011 with that spectacular flop out of the water on 18. His dad , Jay Haas, was a very good player, won 9 times on the PGA Tour and has been very good on the Senior Tour as well winning 18 times.

I can't right now think of any others but I'm sure there are a few more.
