This is all we left of the Thanksgiving tradition in Austin. I wonder if it will be restored when we join the SEC?

Surprised at the lack of offense /scoring in the 1st half of the Egg Bowl.

    Terry, I hope not.
I totally prefer a weekend game now to the old Thursday night games. Just makes life so much easier.
As a matter of fact I hope we play early in the season, and get to keep L$U as our last game.

Scott, I think it will come down to the money. If the SEC/TV networks think it's a money maker it will happen, although truthfully since the NFL now has 3 Thanksgiving games it might be tough to go against the NFL lineup

Longhorns in trouble at QB, which isn't big news but both Hudson Card and Casey Thompson have injury issues that could result in 3rd string guy playing today, he's a walk-on who has never thrown a pass in college.

    1. Who starts at QB?
Sarkisian said he expects junior Casey Thompson (thumb) to start. His health will be paramount with redshirt freshman Hudson Card (ankle) considered a game-time decision.

But even if Thompson, who exited last week’s loss to West Virginia in extreme pain, is cleared, Texas remains dangerously thin at quarterback. If Card is ruled out and Thompson has to be pulled, the Longhorns would turn to third-year walk-on Ben Ballard.

The 5-11 Ballard hasn’t thrown a pass in a regular season game since 2018, his senior season at Austin Hyde Park Baptist. That year, he completed 51.9 percent of his passes for 2,059 yards with 19 touchdowns and six interceptions. He also rushed for six touchdowns.

Qb problems, RTDB, Wildcat. Seems to be the game plan today.
7-7 after 1 and we are running the ball.

Kinda a sparse crowd today, about 40k in a 100k stadium. Cold day team in a historic losing Streak.. Not a big surprise

Same deal for the Aggies. If Calzada goes down it's a freshman walkon for us too...

    Texas breaks the losing Streak!
Played tough physical football, ran a lot of wildcat, Casey Thompson made enough plays and the defense shutout KSTATE in the 2nd half. KState went for 4th and less than a yard twice and were stuffed.

It helped that KSU had no passing game.

Much better to go into the off season on a positive note, top 10 recruiting class comming and likely more than a few transfers.

Well crap... I was so sure my pick of the Huskers was going to work out, but I see that things went sideways for AJ's boys in the 4th quarter.

Capsule of the Huskers season, find a way to lose . Blocked punt.

9 losses all by single digits. I thought I was the only one that would take them in the contest! I just thought they were due and Iowa wasn't a great offense and that would be the difference.

Sonny Dykes to SMU. SMU went from undefeated and high flying to losing 3 out 4 once his name hit the internet as the top choice for TCU.

A couple of coaches whose names were being batted around as candidates for bigger jobs got paid.

Dave Clausen at Wake Forrest and Jonathan Smith at Oregon State got extensions.

Skip Holtz was let go at La Tech,he had a good run but last year and this year we not good.
