Something I didn't know about the Masters...and something I have to do with out every time I play golf!! Augusta does not permit green-reading books, mainly because they've never permitted someone to bring the laser technology onto the property and document the greens. ... For many pros, the Masters is the one week a year they have to read putts without the aid of a green-reading book giving you additional information.
Spieth is finally on the course. Even through 6 holes. Leaders in the clubhouse are at -3, Patrick Reed is at -3 through 17, if he holds on that's a good start for him. Dustin finished at +2. Phil is +1 through 8 who knows where that is going...could go to a big number or he could get on a roll, I'm betting he'll be +4 when it's done for the day.

Terry, he was hitting them close to the pin but he also made some 15 footers and on those greens that's saying something.

The lightning greens at Augusta were back yesterday. Irons and putters were the difference. The bombers like Rory and Bryson were non factors. Some rain might help but they've got to survive the cut first. Nice to see Jordan get under par. He was fortunate that 9 didn't destroy his score.
