Dodgers provide the first Wrong Way Corrigan Event of the season. Justin Turner turned Cody Bellinger's HR into a RBI single because he thought it was caught at the fence and returned to 1st base where he found Cody as well.

Astros start on the road vs Oakland. I don't know the rules in Calif for attendance but I think even with no rules, there won't be a big crowd there to boo the Astros.

Never mind the rules in California. There aren't any and we're impeaching our governor anyway..
Just obey the local progressive fascists and you'll be fine.

I'm watching the Boston Dodgers on TV. The manager is former Dodger Alex Cora. The pitcher is Nate Eovaldi. The lead-off batter is Kike Hernandez, who is wearing #5 as a tribute to former Dodger Nomar Garciaparra. The centerfielder is Alex Verdugo, who bats second in the lineup...

I think the Cardinals need to sign more western division stars to get them out of our hair. How about little Yastrzemski in Frisco? He's a pain in the neck. So is little Tatis in San Diego. I'm rooting for St. Louis to make a clean sweep of all of them...

It didn't take long for MLB to screw up, did it ? I lack the capacity to patronize any corporation whose ideals are in direct opposition to me core beliefs. MLB Baseball season ends for me on April 2. I will content myself with Little League games at the 10 year old level.

It's not the first time politics and sports have clashed. A boycott of states that had the Confederate flag as part of their state flag...the NCAA boycotted South Carolina refusing to hold any championships or playoff games in that state over their state flag.

I wonder if other groups will follow MLB and ban things they can ban in Georgia. I do think it odd that MLB will play a full season of games in Atlanta but not the All-Star game. I wonder if the sponsors of the Peach Bowl willl pull out, will Mercedes Benz ask their name be taken off the Falcons football stadium?

The damage done to Ga by this boycott will be mostly confined to Atlanta the host city. Since it is a Democratic city that went overwhelmingly for Biden in the end their biting off their nose to spite their face. So where do they go to hold the game? They'll get larger crowds in opened up red states but they should tell baseball to pound sand. Blue states have stricter rules on crowds so attendance might be minimal. If I hadn't given up baseball a few years ago, I'd certainly do it now.

    Trivia time...

Carl Yastrzemski attended the University of Notre Dame on a basketball scholarship. When he graduated from high school, he was the all-time leading scorer in the history of the school. Whose scoring records did he break?

    Answer: Jim Brown

The Reds have been spoiling for a fight all spring. In their games with us, they were staring down our players, making gestures and yelling at Trevor Bauer. They are punks.

I didn't see it that way. Castellanos was HBP, which has to hurt, with no one on and two out. He stole 2nd and 3rd and scored on a wild pitch. He just said to the Dodger C, thanks for hitting me, Bro. Then the thin-skinned Dodgers emptied the dugout to congratulate him on turning a HBP into a run against the defending world champs. I'll take him on my team any day.

CORRECTION: Sorry. I referred to the Dodgers, and it should have been the Cardinals. Not sure what happened. Obviously a brain lapse. Dodgers wear blue. Cardinals wear red. I'll try to remember that in the future.

4-0 start to start a new season, and on the road to boot! Maybe all the hate and trash can beating in the stands has got them focused! ;)

Oakland A's started 0-6 and looked bad doing it. This is their worst start since 1906.
    So much for Moneyball...
