Trump won Florida in early Nov. two months before the insurrection and police murder at the Capitol by his followers. And it was two months before he spent those two months baselessly calling the election fraudulent and that he won it..... a fantasy that McConnell ripped to shreds today for the lies that they are.
Scott only won by 10,000 votes..... it seems highly unlikely that Trump has done anything lately to increase that very skinny margin of victory for Rick Scott.

Yeah Sid while we're at it why don't we just send the Lombardi Trophy up to Kansas City and pretend that the Bucs didn't just whip their ass last Sunday...... just because the Chiefs didn't want to lose and they refuse to believe it.

These aren't words that can be misconstrued or taken back or refuted with "what-about" isms...

"Former President Trump's actions preceding the riot were a disgraceful dereliction of duty," McConnell said on the floor Saturday.
"Anyone who decries his awful behavior is accused of insulting millions of voters. That is an absurd deflection," McConnell added. "Seventy-four million Americans did not invade the Capitol. Hundreds of rioters did. Seventy-four million Americans did not engineer the campaign of disinformation and rage that provoked it. One person did. Just one. "

The US Constitution states "The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof"
The Penn. legislature set the deadline for the receipt of ballots to be election day. A COURT changed the date allowing ballots received 3 days later to be counted.
Pennsylvania Supreme Court extends state's mail ballot deadline
That flies in the face of the US Constitution.
It's obvious from some postings here that some didn't read the Time article on the disinformation campaign run by the media.

The state of Pennsylvania addressed the large increase in mail-in voting in early August and in addition there were nationwide concerns over Trump's appointment of GOP donor and Trump supporter Louis DeJoy as Postmaster General. The intent of the state's supreme court actions in August were not to cause any election fraud but to have the time to count every legitimate vote cast by it's citizens. Trump waged war on mail-in ballots for months because he knew that Democrats tended to be more concerned about Covid-19 precautions than did Republicans. His election fraud scheme all came apart when states like Pa. made changes to allow for the counting of all votes cast before the voting deadline.

This is from that Time Magazine article
"As the article notes, the efforts of this cabal “touched every aspect of the election,” including our election laws. These groups engaged in a unified legal front to “change voting systems and laws” at the state level, often unconstitutionally bypassing state legislatures and shifting power to the states’ governors in the process. Conservative efforts to fight against this process were euphemistically termed as “voter-suppression lawsuits.”
    End of story.

Trump lost.... was defeated fairly.... and by several million votes and a significant amount of electoral college votes as well.
Must be why his team lost out in over 60 courts of law when they had no credible evidence to present and why the U.S. Supreme Court refused his baseless arguments twice. Thank God the courts acted as impartial jurors and not like partial Senators.

I had a post which addressed the court cases which mysteriously vanished from the board. I'm not going to bother posting it again in this time of social media censoring of conservative views.

Gipper, no one here removed your post. There were some adjustments being made to servers by Ray and some posts got lost.

Sorry it happened but I didn't and I am sure neither Terry or Tom removed it.

Personally I wish you would post it again as I am interested in reading it.

    And sorry it happened.

See post 19 on the topic anyone missing posts on the Sports forum.

Yeah neither Bill or I removed any posts, I lost a couple at that time as well.

Ray said he was doing some maintenance and was the likely cause of the disappearing posts

The short version is that SCOTUS has two things to consider with challenges to the election. First if they examine the events in Pa. it's likely that they'll find what was done is in violation of the Constitution. The problem is there is no remedy acceptable to them. The voiding of votes cast illegally would disenfranchise hundreds of thousands of voters who relied on their illegal rules. On top of that they have a Congress full of rabid, vindictive Democrats who would love to destroy the current makeup of SCOTUS. Right now a few like Manchin might be remiss to packing the Court, but if SCOTUS actually had the courage to rule against the Pa. law he might be more likely to go with the flow.

It seems fair and logical to me and most other reasonable people that votes cast and received before deadlines must be counted. If not those are the people you are disenfranchising. If Trump dominated the mail in votes instead of Biden you can bet your ass he wanted all of them counted.

The politics of retribution are just getting started. Mr. Trump didn't lead any insurrections, but Kamala Harris did. Lindsey Graham has guaranteed that if the GOP can take back the House in 2022, they will impeach the current vice president.

"Mr. Trump didn't lead any insurrections,"

Curious if you have actually seen the videos from Jan 6th and what you think of those that invaded and debased the Capitol building and murdered a policeman..... maiming several others including one asshole who gouged out the eye of one policeman: "Between USCP and our colleagues at the Metropolitan Police Department, we have almost 140 officers injured," union chairman Gus Papathanasiou said in a statement released Wednesday. "I have officers who were not issued helmets prior to the attack who have sustained brain injuries. One officer has two cracked ribs and two smashed spinal discs. One officer is going to lose his eye, and another was stabbed with a metal fence stake."

"We love you" and "you're special" said Trump of the mob after he further enraged them over the lie about a stolen election and sending them down to Capitol Hill to "take back their country".
