You can tell a lot about an administration by the appointments it makes. Let's take a look at some of the Bringing-us-Together Biden administration members. Let's start with Jalina Porter who has been appointed as Spokesperson for the State Department. Just what qualifications does this cheerleader of the Department of State have? Well she seems to be lacking in some areas. She has gone on record as stating that the biggest threat to our national security is (not China, Russia, a nuclear Iran or unstable North Korea) THE POLICE! But she does have some background for her new position. She HAS been a cheerleader for both the Oakland Raiders and the Washington Wizards. And then there is Kristen Clarke. This black activist, born in Jamaica, has written on the differences between blacks and whites. According to her, blacks have Melanin which "endows them with greater mental, physical, and spiritual abilities. Yep, Biden has appointed someone in charge of the Civil Rights Division of the Justice Department a flaming BLACK SUPREMICIST. Saving the best for last is the Biden appointment as Acting Director in the Enforcement Division of the Securities and Exchange Commission. This individual is a recent winner of the Hillary Clinton Stand by Your Man because it will benefit you politically Award. Melissa Hodgman's husband has been one of the prime movers in turning the once highly respected FBI into something resembling the KGB. He failed in his attempts to remove a duly elected President and stood on guard protecting the country against those smelly Walmart shopping Conservative Americans. Yes, she's married to someone who is always turning a new Paige (over), Peter Strzok.
From a year ago: Now why exactly aren't we allowed to question the results of an opaque, highly susceptible system? Here's a list of the US agencies and companies that were reportedly hacked in the suspected Russian cyberattack State Department DHS NIH DOD DOE Treasury Commerce Up to three different state governments and Austin, TX Microsoft FireEye All of these have been reported as hacked/breached. How many other systems were breached and not detected (and/or not reported)? Of course, the electronic voting system is unhackable, right?
Kes, I recognize that anything is possible, but I have to ask a couple of questions. Let's assume that the Russians hacked the election and that it went undetected. 1) Why would the hack favor Biden, who has made it clear he doesn't like Putin? Wouldn't it have made sense for the hack to favor Trump, who has been friendly to Putin? 2) Assuming the hack favored Biden, how would the hackers have known exactly what states to hack in order to get Biden comfortably over the finish line? A related question: Given that anything's possible, is it possible that there was a hack, and the Russians just picked the wrong states, i.e., states that Trump actually won? For better or worse, this is how my mind works.
As Sid said anything is possible, but at this point I'm way beyond conspiracy theories as to how Trump lost the election and am comfortable that Biden won. I've moved on.
I could be wrong, but I don't think the example is meant to say the Russian's hacked the election. Only to show that it is certainly possible, and that maybe electronic voting is NOT a good idea if you want a secure election.
Sid, I am not suggesting that Russians hacked the election. I am not suggesting China hacked the election. I am not suggesting the swamp hacked the election. I am pointing out how ridiculous it is to claim that it would be impossible to do so. Even if transparency is never provided for this election, do you think corrections and improvements may be necessary for the next one? Since we aren't even allowed to discuss the possibility of problems, or request audits and investigations, how does one formulate a solution to prevent escalation problems? I anticipate that as the story continues to be buried and anyone that doesn't buy into the lies are further marginalized, the more likely it is that future elections will be targeted, either from external or internal bad actors. Why wouldn't groups that have a large enough stake in the direction the administration goes expend resources to do so? They've already been provided all the cover they need from the "news" saying that hacking of the elections is impossible and that there is no need to even look into it.
Kes, I don't know how to reply to your post. You're suggesting things that I'm not familiar with, buried stories, lies, news manipulation and so forth. Maybe I'm not as well read as I thought. I guess I'll just have to - like Terry - move on. I'm just going to focus on the things most important to me....baseball and Bobda's humorous posts.
Some of you might find this article interesting. I was sent to me by one of those deplorable Trump backers. Oh he's also a nationally noted physician. The Thirty Tyrants
It's surprising but no totally unexpected that someone on the left would actually brag about the disinformation, the suppression of news, the lawsuits resulting in unconstitutional election rules in a published article. Opinion: Time Magazine Details the 'Shadow Campaign' Against Trump
It is impossible for me to believe that 82 million people hated Donald Trump so much that they voted for a 78 year old man with obvious diminished cognitive and motor skills, a 48 year track of virtually nothing except two plagiarism incidents he copped to, who ran a totally lifeless campaign with a running mate who was one of the first candidates to bail with next to no support, a candidate with NO declared platform. He garnered 13 million more votes than the rock star Barack Obama in his best effort and he was so popular that if he farted in church he was awarded a Grammy for best new artist. He won a Nobel Prize before the moving truck had unloaded his furniture in 2009. I look at Joe Biden now, shuffling across the stage like a four year old on the bunny slope, putting his mask on over his eyes, tripping up the stairs of Air Force One for the 98 mile flight to Wilmington De and wonder how the hell this happened. I watch him sign stack after stack of Executive Orders ( 54 in 19 days ) and wonder if he even knows what's inside. I believe you could slip in the dinner menu from Benihana's and he would sign it. So yes, put me in the column under the heading "Completely Skeptical" as to the authenticity of Joe Biden's current political stature.
I read that article a couple of days ago. Thanks for posting. I find the voting by mail scary as it is unregulated.
Trump acquitted. Can we move on now to the business of America. I personally hope Trump now fades into the sunset and the Republicans come up with new leadership and point towards the 2022 elections which frequently take seats from the party in power.
McConnell blistered Trump beyond all recognition.... even though he shied from voting to impeach him. It was a very thorough public evisceration though.... making it clear he wants Trump out of Republican Party politics. Consider a guy like Sen. Rick Scott of Fla. who only won his seat by 10,000 votes in 2018 before all this happened and Trump’s popularity rating had not yet plummeted to where it is now. Does Rick Scott continue to cower in Trump’s shadow and hitch his wagon to Trump? The numbers don’t make sense for him to be afraid of Trump but rather he seems to have zero chance of winning re-election in 2022 with Trump as his lead supporter.
In case you didn't notice Trump won Fla. in Nov. As far a McConnel is concerned, he's typical of those that don't have to run anymore. This prick is almost as bad as Biden when it comes to stuffing his pockets with China cash. Washington is full of corrupt bastards that have so pissed off intelligent Americans that they have to hide behind fences guarded by troops. And as Democrats continue to pervert our elections gun sales continue to rise.
