As long as the threes keep dropping we're fine. We give up so many points in the paint, IMHO, because our defenders keep getting beat off the dribble and the help gets there late or not at all. Nobody seems to need to set picks against us. Liddell and Young defend pretty well in the paint against the big guys but too many successful drives into the lane.
I see that Joe Lunardi has moved Ohio State to the #1 seed line in his bracketology. Does Ohio State have any games with Michigan?
Irish beat Duke at Cameron in a great game, they had them at the end and finished them. If I told you before the season that we would be Kentucky and Duke on the road, you'd figure we were in the middle of a great season and a high seed in the NCAA tourney. Instead we're going to have to win at least 5 of our remaining 7 games to get on the bubble.
Following games with Indiana and Penn State, we will face Michigan, Iowa, MSU and Illinois. That stretch could create a lot of whit ifs! Michigan is going to be forced to try and reschedule makeup games as well. That is going to put a strain on their players in the final weeks.
I watched some of the Iowa / MSU game Hawkeyes were pretty much running them out of their own building. Longhorns got a good win over TCU.
You're very generous, Don. Ohio State dominated from the opening whistle. That was likely the worst defeat of the season, so far, for IU, a real Jekyll & Hyde team. I've said before I'm a big fan of your coach. Nice win.
Sid, Thanks. I know the Hoosiers have not had a great season, but they have still been in a number of OT games as well. Davis Jackson is a real threat and a great competior, he just needs more help from his players. I agree with your statement about Holtmann.
Wisconsin has a 12 point lead at the half with Michigan. The Wolverines might be a bit rusty, but Wiskey is dominating at this point.
Michigan recovers and wins 67-59. Their big center Hunter Dickinson is a real load and very gifted for a freshman!
Stu, our matchup with Michigan next Sunday should be interesting. Not exactly sure what to expect, they definitely have some star power on offense and play good defense.
And so it begins in Basketball...players on teams with not much hope for anything for the NCAA Tournament or the rest of the season opting out to prepare for the NBA. Just like football. This guy won't be the last. Duke freshman and projected lottery pick Jalen Johnson is opting out of the rest of the season and will declare for the NBA draft, according to the school. Johnson to leave Duke early, prep for NBA draft
Michigan State wins over the Indian Hoosiers this afternoon. That loss my doom the Hoosiers for a NCAA bid?
Terry, did you watch any of the Texas West Virginia game? I missed it all together, but I couldn't believe the aftermath.
