Longhorns are playing well today against what many say is the best defense in the B12. I am not watching, but 21-17 OSU, looks like a good game. We've played a lot of close games with these guys, I guess this might be another. Hard not to mention that for all our problems and Tom Herman's impending firing, that we are close to being undefeated. Goal line fumble late against TCU and OT loss to OU. What happens if we win out? Most fans want him Zooked though.
We are going to OT in Stillwater. I tuned in mid 4th qtr after ND, what a finish. 3rd OT game for the Longhorns. Win at Tech, lose to OU.
Texas wins in OT. It came down 4th down and Texas sold out on defense and brought the house and Spencer Sanders never had a chance. They won't fire Tom Herman this week!
We sputtered a bit in the second quarter offensively. We are doing an excellent job of harassing Clifford. Still I am happy with a 21-6 lead at the half.
Mullin charges onto the field to protest late, high hit on Trask. Teams get into brawl in the middle of the field. It gets real ugly.
I didn't see it in real time, but saw the replay and it did get ugly. They had a hard time getting it under control. 3 players ejected and I wonder if the SEC will review film and eject a few more as well. I see that UGA beat Kentucky but only scored 14 points. They will need to find an offense before next week if they want to beat Florida. I know they have a great defense, but even Saban acknowledges that you can't win with defense any more.
Buckeyes win 38-25 in Happy Valley. Fields had another good game with no interceptions. Our running game was much better in the second game. Some stupid penalties (personal fouls) which I detest.
I see poor officiating in most of the games I watch. Announcers notice as well and put it off on the officials working differently this year, zoom meetings, crews put together on the fly with consideration to travel. They didn't get work work Spring Training, or fall practices ,either.
Harbaugh has won a lot of games at Michigan. But like all coaches it's the losses that get you in trouble. No wins v OSU, 1-3 against MSU at the Big House, no appearances in the Big 10 Championship game, 1-4 in bowl games. That's what fans remember.
Not much movement in the top 10, Oklahoma State dropped out and everybody else moved up a slot. BYU is up to #9 and Miami has reappeared at #10, UNC and Michigan fell to 24 and 25 respectively. Longhorns almost got in, win next week and maybe we are back in the top 25. I do think that the Longhorns are capable of running the table. That would certainly save Tom Herman's job. Longhorns are well positioned, if they win out. There are 3 teams with 1 loss, we play 2 of them and if we win we will hold the tie breaker, KState and Iowa State. The 3rd, Oklahoma State we gave them their 1st loss. I think it's going to need all the tie breakers when it comes to determining the 2 teams in the Championship Game
