Sam Pittman was a guy who was not a young rising star as a Asst coach, he had no track record as a HC. Right now he looks like a great hire for the Hogs. His bringing in of Barry Odom is looking very good as well. Hogs are playing very well.

Irish have moved up to #3 in the Coaches poll, as I said earlier we are not a top 5 team. Georgia who we jumped would be heavily favored as would Ohio State if we played next weekend.

I was pretty shocked at how handily that Kentucky beat Tenn in Knoxville. Mark Stoops has done a good job at UK.

I think Scott's Aggies have turned a corner and while it's unlikely that they will make the SEC Champ game, that might work in their favor if they can run the table. 1 loss SEC non champion could make the CFP. Certainly a New Years Six bowl game.

I see that some Auburn fans are starting to call for Gus to be fired and bring in... Hugh Freeze!:eek:

Looking like Purdue coach, Jeff Brohm, has tested positive for COVID-19. He is having a PCR test to confirm.

They open with Iowa this week.

Terry, I think the team is in the process of turning a corner, but we still have Kellen Mond at QB.
    His history is very consistent:
Good at home... BAD on the road.
@ SCAR, @Tenn, and @Auburn all loom as very real losses if he stays true his statistical past.
I love the possibilities, but I see the possible potholes...

Scott, this whole season is.one big asterisk. The Big 10 getting started this week which will start to clarify the whole situation. We are.all playing primarily in conference so we have no idea how we compare nationally.

According to this guy, 9 coaches have coached in at least 30 games between top 10 teams. Not a shock that Saban is on top of the list.

And Saban is the only one that is still actively coaching.

Big question for Kirby Smart is will he stick with Setston Bennett going forward? What is the status of JT Daniel? Is he healthy enough to play? That's been the question since he transferred, his knee. He apparently wasn't cleared to play to start the season, but recently I read that he's now been cleared.

Stetson has been pretty good, seems to have a strong arm and accurate. But his stats vs Alabama were not very good, less than 50% completions and 3 picks. Georgia has a good shot at getting to the SEC Champ game, basically they just have to beat Fla in 3 weeks, they should win all of their other games.

I was looking at my calendar this morning and low & behold we are scheduled to play Nebraska here in Columbus for our first game Saturday. Wonders never cease during Covid-19.

I was looking at the Alabama QB depth, and they have 7 QB's listed on the roster. Of course some of those could be walk-on QB's. Since QB is a high transfer position, I wonder if Paul Tyson will be looking now that it seems that Bryce Young is #2 as a true freshman? Also I wonder if Mac Jones will be back in 2021 if he continues to have the type of season. He's RS Jr, which means he has 1 more year under the old rules, but with the NCAA giving everybody a free year he could play in 2021 and 2022 if he wanted.

Terry, yeah we really have 3 qbs. I think Jones has really upped his value and will probably go into the draft. Tyson, being who he is, may stay and you can never tell what can happen. I am curious about Young as well.
