They have been spending millions trying to get the lazy, uninformed, apathetic Democratic voters to the polls. There's nothing better than being governed by the selection of people that only voted because they saw an ad or a billboard.

Texas has 1.8 million new registered voters over the 2016 count. I don't know the party affiliation of those but I'd bet at least 3/4 of them are going to vote against Trump.

It's an ignorant, unloyal American that votes for Biden.

Last I heard Texas was a big, big energy state. The Harris/Biden green deal will slaughter Texas' economy. Apparently a number of people have left high tax states to move to low tax states like Tex. Now there going to do the same thing (vote Democratic) and expect a different result? Isn't that the definition of insanity?

I can tell you this: I get some kind of flyer EVERY DAY from Bloomberg's "Every town for gun safety" idiots.
Most of them don't even ask you to vote for a person, but to vote AGAINST a certain conservative candidate.

I stand by with what I posted. BTW, I hope you two realize a vote for Biden isn't a vote for Biden.

Only an idiot would vote for Biden. The man is incompetent. He is a security risk. He reads answers to questions off a cheat sheet. Most questions he simply refuses to answer. And if you think he will be president for longer than year, likely far less, you're dreaming. His own party will run him out for the very reasons you should not vote for him to begin with.

Biden's corrupt. He's the perfect standard bearer of a party that has been looting DC for decades.

"Most questions he simply refuses to answer."

Well now that's hilarious cause that describes Pence dodging about every question the other night and last night when asked about Q Anon..... the craziest conspiracy cult ever concocted Trump had this to say:
    • "I'll tell what you I do know about, I know about antifa and the radical left and how violent and vicious they are, and I know how they're burning down cities run by Democrats."
    • "Let me just tell you what I do hear about, it is they are very strongly against pedophilia and I agree with that. I do agree with that very strongly."
    • Trump said, "I don't know that," after Guthrie pressed the president on whether he believes there is a satanic cult being run by Democrats.

Seriously do you erstwhile intelligent people even listen to Trump?? I think it's safe to say that if a cult of Devil Worshippers denounced Democrats but supported Trump he would embrace them and refuse to condemn them.

    Bill, not trying to tell you and Terry what to do...but anyway;

It was nice of you to set up a special category for political discussion...that way we don't have the uncivil comments on the Sports Board.

But I would say that if smarmy sarcastic insults to other board members continue on this Political Board then something ought to be done here.

I wish I had an answer, maybe we need to lock the political board up for a month.

No. Just pretend Dave's posts are a tweet or FB Post that need to be censored for the next 30 days. That's what they're doing to OUR President.

One can disagree on political matters without hurling abusive insults at the person they disagree with. If someone on this political board is incapable of offering an opinion without abuse, the remedy would be suspending that person’s posting privileges rather than shutting down the board.

    Interesting comments.

We are open as to how to conduct this forum. We have taken the approach of being more lenient than the Sports forum. Also there are some strong feelings about banning someone. Of course a temporary suspension is different than banning permanently.

Then there is how do we draw the line? Personally I can tone down some of my comments but where do we draw the line on other posters? Is being very annoying enough?

Then there is the ignore function.

I am not trying to be flippant because I don't have a great feel for where to draw the line in the Political forum.

    So input would be helpful.

Thing is that I don't really want to play censor. Have to read every post and try and decide if there is something that is offensive.

    Ban/Suspend Dave?
    Shutdown the board, temporarily?

Is the sense that all of the problems are Dave?

Ask you to put Dave on ignore if your interactions with him are offensive to you?
