Kp, Coach Saban was very visibly upset stalking the sidelines when I was watching part of the game. Somehow I imagine you will see improvements in coming games?

"Afterwards the SEC came up with a ******** explanation of why they cheated _______ out of the win."

Fill in the blank when it comes to losing at Auburn because of shaky ref calls.

Kp.... Ole Miss has a great offense.... no crime there by Bama's defense except if it happens weekly like it has been happening to Florida then forget future team accomplishments..... because that kind of piss poor defense doesn't fly in the SEC or on the national playoff scene.

Unless Georgia can keep improving offensively I don't see the SEC winning any national championship this year over Clemson and probably Ohio State either.

Congrats to the Aggies for a great win for the program.

Not sure why Ole Miss had so much success against Alabama, but I don't think this Alabama defense will play that way against Georgia. I imagine it will be a spirted week of practice, plus the UGA offense is still a bit more stogy than a Kiffin coached offense. Kirby Smart believes, run the ball and play defense.

I'd expect a game that is 360 degrees from this game. Total score under 60 points IMHO.

Kirby is more old school SEC but really Saban has been too except he does like a passing game that can go over the top and break your back.
If Georgia has the quarterback to throw it downfield on Bama then it will be a slug fest back and forth type of a game. Georgia cannot be one dimensional vs. Saban.... or he will exploit that with whatever defense he does have.
Again..... Ole Miss will make every defense they play look bad this year. The trick is to shake it off and get back to business the next week.... and I'll bet Saban will be better at it than Florida has been.

The Gator D seems to stink it up every week. This looks like a 2007 type season for Florida when Tebow won the Heisman but his defense was lousy and there were no team awards ultimately because of it.

How an up-and-down SEC will shape the College Football Playoff

Not that it is a big deal, but Bob Stoops son Drake is a pretty good wr for OU. He was a 3 star recruit. I don't know if he starts but he get a good number of snaps.

    Leach is true to himself.

Was an explanation needed? I thought the game was @ Auburn? I just figure SEC fans knew that was coming.

Kiffin right now getting lots of praise for what he's got going at Ole Miss. The talking heads were saying that give him a couple of years to build up both sides with his recruiting wizzardy and Ole Miss will be a really good program. Which of course makes me wonder how long Kiffin will be at Ole Miss if all of that comes true. I could see him certainly becoming a target for bigger programs sooner rather than later if he has Ole Miss going in the right direction.

This assessment from an ESPN article

While opinions vary on Kiffin as a head coach, his playcalling prowess and offensive structure is widely respected throughout the sport. Even though Ole Miss is 1-2, the Rebels have been strong offensively against three opponents with talented defenders, averaging 41.7 points and 7.4 yards per play. Ole Miss has also eclipsed 600 yards in two of its games, recorded multiple passing and rushing touchdowns in all three and committed only one turnover. If the Rebels played any defense, they might be 3-0.

Ole Miss piled up 48 points Saturday against Alabama, the most the Crimson Tide have allowed against an unranked team in AP Poll history, and tying for the most points Nick Saban's teams have surrendered at Alabama.

I didn't see it myself, but this was posted on another board:
We had (have) a stud RB in Borghi and routinely saw this in response. The defenses that shut down the Cougar Air Raid typically would drop 8 to clog all the lanes. And the response always was that his players needed to execute better. Stubborn, egotistical geniuses are often their own worst enemy. "Common" knowledge is you take what the defense gives you. Genius that goes against "common" knowledge sometimes works out. It works out more often when the execution is perfect. How often is that? Is it more often than taking what the defense gives? Inquiring fans of Leach-coached teams have wondered that since the dawn of pigs.
