    And here I was thinking that Democrats refusing to honor the results of elections was a recent development.

    Nah, 2000 theme was the Supreme Count stole the election; 2004 theme was Diebold voting machines were rigged to deprive Kerry of Ohio and thus the election; 2016 The Russians collided with Trump to steal the election and, if we can’t prove that, Hillary got more votes so #notmypresident, #resist and put on the pussy hats and take to streets.

    This is a repost about the 2000 election and the supreme court did stop a recount of votes in Broward county which essentially decided the presidential race. In a similar circumstance with Trump losing in this election in the same manner as did Gore in that 2000 election Trump would lead us into civil war:

    Gore did concede without a recount being completed..... and peacefully at that.
    No one expects that Trump and his base will go quietly even though he loses the popular vote..... unlike Gore in 2000 who won the popular vote. And Trump is questioning the entire process..... not just a strange count of votes in Broward county Florida in a state that by a slim whisker pushed Gore out and Bush in with it's electoral votes.
    You can imagine the chaos if Trump were to lose in such a manner as did Gore in 2000..... all hell would break loose.

    And this:
    "The qualification was alarming because the President has repeatedly argued that any election that includes mail-in voting -- which studies show does not suffer from massive fraud -- is not free and fair. McEnany was effectively establishing a predicate for the President to claim the election is rigged. She also previously advanced the incorrect position that the result of the clash between Trump and Biden would only be fair if it was known on election night. Since mail-in ballots may take longer to count in many states, and the method is likely to be more favored by Democrats, she is clearing the way for Trump to claim a premature victory and to take rhetorical and legal action to portray continuing vote counting as an attempt by Democrats to cheat.

    First they refuse to accept the results of an election and then the claim that the duly elected winner is divisive (translation: if we don't win it's divisive.)

    Well, that was the talking point until yesterday. Now Axios has an article that has Dems urging their folks to vote in person if at all possible...because of the higher rejection rate of mail in ballots. Duh.

    To identify the creation of divisiveness, one only has to look at how many months it took to protest the results of the election. (checks calendar) Oh, I mean seconds.

    To identify the creation of divisiveness, one only has to look at how long it took the "opposition" media to start labeling the newly-elected president a racist, demon, Hitler. (checks calendar)

    LOL Stu, I was remarking to this in another topic. Most of the "news" have started reporting (a week or two) how racist mail-in ballots are, while at the same time continuing to frame Trump (and his racist, stupid supporters) as whacko for suggesting universal mail-in balloting has inherent flaws.

    Those things occurred long before he ran for office and you can add xenophobic misogynist to that list too.

    Justice Ginsburg was a passionate advocate for affirmative action in writing and speech

    *************************************
    At one time, Ginsburg told the legal publication, the Supreme Court was a leader in rooting out discrimination. She pointed to the 1971 decision, Griggs v. Duke Power, that endorsed disparate-impact analysis to evaluate polices that are neutral on their face but have a disproportionate impact on minorities.

    “What’s amazing,” Ginsburg said, “is how things have changed” since the 1971 decision. Recent rulings that restricted affirmative action and struck down part of the Voting Rights Act have not helped the country, she said.

    ***************************************

    However her own hiring practices re black law clerks while on the federal bench reflected a “diversity for thee but not for me” philosophy

    Here's a partial list of awards for Trump before he became President.
    • 1976 Humanitarian Award by the National Jewish Health;
    • 1983 Tree of Life Award by the Jewish National Fund;
    • 1986 Ellis Island Award given to Trump, Rosa Parks and Muhammad Ali;
    • 1990 video of the Rev. Jesse Jackson lauding Trump as a friend to minorities and underserved communities. Jackson expressed appreciation for Trump’s support of the Rainbow Push Coalition’s initiative called the Wall Street Project, which aimed to help minority-owned businesses;
    • 1995 President’s Medal by the Freedom Foundation (Washington) for his support of youth programs;
    • 2007 Muhammad Ali Entrepreneur Award;
    • 2008 Unicorn Children’s Foundation Shining Star Award;
    • 2011 Presidential Hero Award by the Lois Pope Life Foundation;
    • 2015 The Algemeiner Liberty Award for contributions to Israel-United States relations If you suffer from TDS you can make up whatever crap you want or as Braindead said "we choose facts over truth."

    So the only way to believe Trump Haters like MCG is to think that once Trump got elected President he did an about face and became something different.

    But of course he didn't but those suffering with TDS, like one of our posters, just ignore the past and have their own make believe world.

    I don't have the time to look all of these up but I'm sure this is a prevailing theme of his "awards".
    From Fact Check.org:
    Full Story
    A claim circulating on social media misrepresents an award given to President Donald Trump in 1986. He was not honored for his “work within the black community.”

    Instead, the Ellis Island Medal of Honor was given to Trump, who was a real estate developer at the time, for his contributions to the city of New York through his development projects, said Otto Coca, spokesman for the Ellis Island Honors Society. That’s the group that gives the award.

    The year Trump was honored was the first year the award was given, Coca said, and Trump was one of 86 people to receive a medal. Between 90 and 100 people are honored each year, Coca told us.

    This year, the singer Paula Abdul and Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff were among the honorees.

    Biden says he'll answer court-packing question 'when the election is over' - CNNPolitics

    The Constitution is exactly what is happening now. The president is granted the authority and responsibility by the Constitution to nominate a Supreme Court Justice, with review/consent of the Senate. The 2016 election is over, and the will of the people is at work. There is nothing even remotely unconstitutional about the process.

    By the same token, an across-the-board Democrat Executive and Legislative branches will not break Constitutional law by nominating and confirming 55+ legislative Supreme Court Justices.

    Since the Left Coalition is so keen on screaming how destructive Trump *might* be with another four years, despite the fact that most Americans are better off than they were four years ago RIGHT NOW, let's look at comparable destructive power of these two activities.

    How destructive is adding another Constitutionalist Justice to the Supreme Court? Is interpreting the Constitution as written destructive to the ideal of the United States?

    How destructive is adding a Liberal, Legislative super-majority in the Supreme Court? Will the United States even exist after four years of that elitism? All prior evidence points to Liberal, Legislative justices allowing expansion and reinterpretation of authority. At that point, what limits would be in place? Protection of 2nd amendment? Good luck. Protection of 1st amendment? Good luck.

    And that is why Biden/Harris refuse to answer the question. It would only serve to further mobilize the patriots that still believe in this country.
