    From WSU:
"The image of Trump has been created by the Left coalition. The dehumanized/demonized version of Trump was created by the Left,"

My question is does anyone on the right ever hear for themselves what Trump says or see what he does?
Or in his case what he tweets? My image of Trump stems from those things..... not from what any news media outlet tells me I should use to judge him.
If you love what he says, tweets and does then he's your man. I have done that and he's not mine.

I didn't want to create a new topic for this thought. Since CNN general represents the Left "news" media, I thought it fit here best. If it doesn't generally fit with your intent, Bill, I can move it.

Anyway, I'm reading/watching that the Left "news" media universally characterizes the DNC event as "unifying" while continuing to demonize Trump as "divisive".

Newsflash: identity politics is the definition of divisive and has been the Left platform for how many years? How "unifying" is the message when the threat continues to be wholesale destruction of the country's systems as they currently exist? The Left continues their assault on the meaning of English words.

The answer to your question, Dave is there in the article that Bill just posted. For myself, at least, it's "Trump vs. what the Other Guys will do."

So how closely Stu do you listen to what Trump says..... what he tweets..... what he does.... and what his ex-associates say about him...... now even his own sister.

"wholesale destruction of the country's systems as they currently exist"
That's how far apart we are when I would attribute that to Trump 110% of the time when you obviously feel the opposite.

I see the left doing just that. I listen to what Trump says and often I cringe. I look at what he’s done and for the most part approve.

Fox News is reporting today that over 2 dozen GOP Lawmakers have launched a pro-Biden/anti-Trump collaborative group.

These are other opinions of Trump that have actually been stated by real live people over the past few months:
"His sister described him as a liar and fake. A former senior official at the Department of Homeland Security deemed him a woeful danger to the country. A prominent friend with a prime-time slot on Fox News has called him "crazy," according to new book about the network.
His onetime national security adviser wrote in his own book he cares little about human rights. A former Pentagon chief called him "the first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite the American people." Those sentiments were endorsed by a former chief of staff. A former secretary of state declared him "undisciplined."
Another onetime national security adviser called his attempts to solicit foreign assistance in the election unacceptable. A Homeland Security adviser has called some of his actions "deeply disturbing." A short-lived communications chief has questioned his mental state. A former aide and reality show contestant called him racist."

I don't have a problem with any posts where people are thoughtful, post articles that are thoughtful etc. This certainly fits the bill on all accounts.

To bad MCG doesn't think even an inch deep where it comes to Trump and let's his hatred drive all his posts.

That is the reason a lot of our forum has put him on ignore and thus don't interact with him. I don't do that for one simple reason, I am not going to let his hatred and biased post leak into the Sports Forum any longer. Have already deleted a number in that forum and I will give him this little bit of credit he has not been guilty of that recently.

Keeping me from having to take stronger action,

Interesting that my posts rather than being factual statements about Trump are just "rooted in pure hatred"..... like he's not saying what he says or people aren't saying things about Trump that I report.

So lately I have found that Fox News has plenty of negative reporting on Trump that I was unaware of so I'll try to get most of my content from Fox News.
Jeff Flake joins over two-dozen former GOP members of Congress to launch ‘Republicans for Biden’
Geez... all of these former GOP members of Congress and GOP Sen. Jeff Flake must also hate Trump to say such hateful things about shifting their support to Biden.... especially on the first day of the RNC Convention!!

Events can be factual but how they are used decides hate.

You are so filled with Trump hatred it affects your judgement. So some Republicans defected, so did some Democrats. There is a lot of realignment going on right now if you had any interest as to what is happening outside your Trump hatred that affects all your thoughts.

I don't think the reported switching of political support from Trump to Biden is a 50-50 deal with regard to the high profile flipping as was described in the Fox News article I posted.
There have been many coming out in the republican party as against Trump in November. Unprecedented numbers as far as I can ever recall before a presidential election.
Of course I'm sure it's only because I personally hate Trump that it's happening though.

Until the last sentence this was actually a decent post and I will give you my opinion.

First we have a very biased media these days and they will play up all the negative Trump stuff and yes there are some Republicans switching and supporting Biden. I would rather they didn't but as I said there is a realignment going on and a lot of it does not get attention even from conservative sources.

The speaker last night that was a Democratic legislator from Georgia is one small example. Leo Terrell a well known Civil Rights attorney is another.

What does not get as much publicity are blue collar working people. One example is the number of police unions coming out in support of Trump. Quite a number of rank and file union workers in the working community, meaning not government employees, voted for Trump last time which actually was the reason he won Pa, Mich and Wisconsin, have turned to Trump. Not the leadership but rank and file. I know a lot of people from the company I retired from who were Democrats that are voting for Trump. Then there are also the walk away people who are voting more from Trump.

Trump barely got ethnic vote in 2016 and probably will get less this time out in November.
His edge in white rural voters will at least hold steady but I have read that white suburban women have turned away from Trump for this election and having already lost the popular vote in 2016 that may hurt him in this election. I am also guessing that he will hold steady on his non-college white vote but probably slip some on his college educated white vote which made up 26% of his voters in 2016.
His voting base was 63% non-college white so that is the probably only area that he stands to possibly gain votes as Hilary's voters were 26% non-college white so maybe Trump can pull from that.

Nice to see some research and rational thought.

However I would disagree with your conclusions. Non college white and non college black voters could well move toward Trump. Blue collar workers such as Police, Auto, Oil and Gas, Electrical workers and many more see that Trump is bringing work back to this country and he also represents their beliefs and rights.

So nice research but we differ on what it might mean.

I did say the same thing that non-college white voters is an area that he could do better this time than he did in 2016.
The reason I say that is that those voters are most susceptible to his continuous beating of the drum for polarization, fear and loathing of the left, conspiracy theory and yes..... for some people racism. He has been courting those voters ever since he gained office because they are his biggest voting bloc already and keeping them has been his number one goal for re-election.
I disagree though that he will gain any of the black vote but rather he will lose a significant portion of the black vote that he had as small as it was.

I did say the same thing that he would possibly gain some voters in the non-college white voting bloc but I think he loses some of the college educated white voters in return. He should gain in that non-college white group because he has spent the past 3.5 years continuously beating the drum of polarization, fear and loathing of the left, conspiracy theory and yes.... racism in order to woo that base and try to capture more of it. However he also loses whatever black and hispanic vote he had because he sacrificed that group in his border wall war and his general lack of empathy for blacks which in turn panders to his base of non-college educated whites.
This was almost a duplicate of my last post because I thought I lost the post before hitting submit..... anyway..... it is what it is. :)
