Terry... in a regular year, the students get 35000 seats.
If you're only letting in 45K... you're gonna have a hard time paying the bills with only 10k donors allowed in.

Watched the 2005 Ohio State /Texas game in Columbus. I was there with Stu and G man. Win propelled the Longhorns season and the National Championship. It was quite a game atmosphere.

I'd forgotten completely that Justin Zwick started at QB in the game for the Buckeyes

I'd forgotten that Jamal Charles was a freshman Rb in the game, he turned out to be a pretty good player. :D

Watching that game of course was much easier since I knew we won, but it'd been so long ago that I didn't remember how the game went at the end. I remember getting off to a good start and then the Ohio State defense took over, I remember Stu muttering something about Tressel ball when the Ohio State offense kept kicking field goals. I'd forgotten the last Longhorn TD was a catch by Limas Sweed that they looked at for awhile before deciding it was a catch, he clearly caught the ball with his feet in the endzone but did he control it all the way to the ground, the replay really didn't have a good view to overturn the ruling on the field. That put the Longhorns up 23-22 but the Buckeyes had enough time on the clock to pull it out, the Buckeye returner fumbled the ball on the kickoff and Texas recovered but the replay showed the ground caused the fumble and Tressel sent out Justin Zwick who under pressure fumbled and the Longhorns recovered and had 4th and goal from the 1 yard line our TB was a behmoth named Henry Melton who would later become a DE, he got the ball on a pitch and instead of just running over the Ohio State DB he decided to leap and he leaped out of bounds!! Buckeyes still had some life with the ball on the 1 yd line, in comes Troy Smith who is then sacked for a safety! Longhorns win 25-22.

Very good weekend! Buckeyes got their revenge the next year in Austin.

I thought he went down with us and sat in a crappy B section seat I got for him. Or do you mean the second game in Austin? :)

Kes what are your thoughts on the demands that the group of Pac12 players have made?

Ugh. There isn't much more needed for my Fall Saturdays to free up. The NBA and NFL have already lost me.

Ratings on down for MLB and NBA even though both leagues had been shut down for 5 months. I guess the question is whether fans are turning out due to their woke messaging or if fans simply are finding it hard to get into these asterisk season start ups.

With the altered schedules and probably altered rosters, any titles or championships are going to be tainted. I am resigned to the fact that we probably won't have a season or it will be abbreviated. Just not too excited.

It's not really clear how deep the support for those Pac12 players, only 12 signed the letter. Now I won't be surprised if they have support from other players, how deep is that support. Is there really a chance that a significant number of Pac12 players will opt out of the season? If it's just those 12 guys and a few others then their threat isn't really credible.

I still feel like a free education is a pretty good compensation, I'm onboard with the NIL deal even though I think it's going to be something that only a few players actually make any real money.

Terry, Pandora's box has been opened, who knows what lies ahead within the college football ranks? I am convinced what we have enjoyed for a number of years is about to explode across the country.
