IN NYC there are more abortions of black babies than live births.
    BLACK LIVES MATTER?
2/3 to 3/4 of all black children born are born into single-mother families.
    BLACK LIVES MATTER?

It must be great to be a black athlete who's fathered half a dozen kids by 6 different women to kneel down during the National Anthem and blame the black communities problems on racist white folks.

Agreed Gipper..... seems as if BLM only matters when white people are interfering or persecuting.
But that is nothing new.... it's how it has always been.
When they do it to each other they don't get too outraged because it's like they have a right to treat each other poorly.
Mind you "they" is much too general a term for this type of discussion. Obviously there are a great great majority of African Americans who are upstanding citizens who have been great contributors to our society. And I mean that sincerely and it's a shame they have bad actors..... but certainly there are many sorry ass white bad actors too. It's not limited to just black people.

    Trump is "Gaslighting" America:
"The gulf between reality and President Donald Trump's delusional vision of a waning coronavirus threat was on full display this weekend, as cases soared in key hotspots while he delivered speeches at Mount Rushmore and at the White House, with little physical distancing and few masks, directly contradicting the advice from his public health experts.
Playing with fire at a time when experts say the spread of the virus appears to be spiraling out of control, Trump continued gaslighting Americans about the threat to their health during a Fourth of July speech from the South Lawn of the White House, where he minimized the dangers of Covid-19 with a baseless statement that 99% of coronavirus cases are "harmless," a claim his Food and Drug Administration chief could not back up Sunday morning."

Part of the 99% in the "harmless" category:
After Florida started reopening in early May, Erika Crisp and 15 friends went to celebrate a birthday at a bar where no one was wearing a mask. All 16 friends came down with Covid-19.
During their night out, the virus seemed "out of sight, out of mind" because they didn't know anyone who had contracted it, Crisp said. The group also had a false sense of security, she said, because their governor said it was safe to reopen.
"I feel foolish. It's too soon," Crisp said.
New Jersey physician Dr. Jen Caudle said she's seen young patients suffer serious or long-term complications from Covid-19 -- including strokes, shortness of breath, fatigue, or the inability to smell and taste long after recovering from the virus.
Covid-19 causes sudden strokes in young adults, doctors say
Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert, 28, was the first NBA player to report testing positive for Covid-19 back in March. Three months later, he still hasn't fully recovered, Gobert told the French sports publication L'Equipe.

Based on the FoxNews internet page today..... this virus isn't going away any time soon due to rampant future community transmission. I can see why between this type of news "reporting" and lack of leadership from Trump the virus will be around infecting droves of people until a possible vaccine.

Let's play Dave's game. Half the cases in Fla. come out of 4 counties, Dade, Broward, Hillsboro and Orange. All are Democratic strongholds, have not had Trump rallys and probably don't watch Fox News. The first 2 were under the strictest restrictions from the beginning. Now let's talk about deaths. Yesterday's death toll in Fla. was in single digits...9. With access to testing now much more available, individuals without any symptoms are being tested and showing positive. The vast majority have a mild case and will have no problems. All you see on the main stream media is the total number of cases, not hospitalizations or deaths. Then there is the fatality rate which was 10 times higher in NY than in Fla. Meanwhile that ahole Cuomo has the audacity to take shots at Desantis. That guy killed thousands of nursing home residents, destroyed his economy, greatly exaggerated the number of ventilators and hospital beds he needed and now has a broke state. He his brother and the scarecrow should be skipping down the Yellow Brick road together.

Where in the Constitution does it say that the President can pass laws by himself? Hint for CNN watchers....it doesn't.

Florida's 6 largest counties in the 2016 election had 1,541,000 votes cast for Donald Trump.
That's a whole lot of possibilities for spreading the coronavirus and the state itself had 4,600,000 vote for Trump.
Plenty of non-believers,conspiracy theorists and Covid spreaders to come out of that crowd Gipper.
In the interim the sports entertainment world is putting a hold on their trillion dollar industry because of Covid 19 concerns.
Someone is either lying or someone ( our athletes ) is just being a pu**y

A low death rate can be generated by a very large amount of infections.... which this virus seems to be more than capable of. 16 out of 16 for the Florida girl that went to the bar with 15 friends.... that's extraordinary.
And by the time this is done at current death rates we should have more than 200,000 to 250,000 deaths and a whole hell of a lot of hospitalizations.
The fact that even asymptomatic people sustain lung damage is also worrisome.

All that explains why the sports world is running like a scared rabbit on this virus. Why would they or anyone else be concerned if it wasn't a big deal.... killing young people in it's path such as 41 year old Nick Cordero the broadway actor who passed yesterday.

The bottom line is that enough people do take it seriously that the whole world... our world will be turned upside down until Trump is no longer setting the bad examples he sets and his supporters begin to take it seriously.

I have to ask.... other than young careless protestors in the street.... or pool partiers of all political leanings do you think you could get 7,000 maskless Democrats crowded together for a rally?

Yeah Gipper but they were outvoted 2 to 1 in 2016 Trump over Clinton.

I have a feeling quite a few of those Democrats were too concerned about Covid-19 to show up at that lake party. But certainly some did..... stupidly.
We'll know about that and other stupid events of this past weekend in about 10 days or so.

The average age of covid + cases in Florida right now is 33. In NJ, while our number are very low, the rate of transmissions just poked above 1:1 for the first time in almost three months. This tells me that this is driven mainly by young people a. in bars b. on beaches c. in protests. The occasional Trump rally is moot.

As far as 7000 maskless Democrats go, I can't believe you could find that number willing to admit for the record that they are voting for a 78 year old man suffering from dementia.

"it’s not actually us saying this. It’s the Centers for Disease Control, which reported that the death rate has fallen so far it’s now roughly equal to the threshold for even qualifying as an epidemic, which isn’t as severe as a pandemic."

“Based on death certificate data, the percentage of (total U.S.) deaths attributed to pneumonia, influenza or COVID-19 (PIC) decreased from 9% during week 25 to 5.9% during week 26,” the CDC noted, adding that this was the 10th-straight week of declining deaths.

While the “percentage is currently at the epidemic threshold,” additional data in coming weeks could change that, says the CDC.

As a piece on the informative Just The News web site explains, “That threshold for (deaths per week for) pneumonia, influenza and COVID-19 fluctuates slightly depending on the time of year, ranging from around 7% at the height of flu season to around 5% during less virulent months.”

Is The Pandemic Coming To An End At Last?
