"The Examiner reported that the intelligence department denied the report."

Exactly my point.....and corroborated by Fox News I assume.

Listen.... Trump is your guy.... not my guy or that of the majority of the American public.

But he knows how to work the shill.... manipulate the masses and the political strategies to win the electoral vote by working his white supporters up into a voting frenzy while liberal Democrats stay home miffed because their guy Sanders didn't win the nomination.

The thing about the right is that it's all or none..... believe 100% in their guy and never question his veracity or that of his favorite news network reporting no matter how sometimes illogical and politically slanted it seems.

Well, Dave, you've over and over again accused folks of "believing Fox News Conspiracies"...would you please instead of your usual criticizing us (and Fox News) in vague generalities list what conspiracy theories you are talking about?

I Haven't seen any of Diamond and Silk on the channel for quite a while. I admit I cringe when I see them though they usually don't say anything as outlandishly bad and ill advised as that tweet.

I don't always agree with Fox commentators (and that's another point...most are commentators not purported newscasters). I think that Hannity has been unfair to Mayor Cuomo and that Laura Ingraham has been unfair to Dr. Faucci. I think that Rush makes some good points about the inaccuracy of models and those creating them...but he has been a little too hard on those trying to make good decisions from models that just do not have enough data...yet.

I CAN give you one "conspiracy theory" to play with. I don't buy into the theory put forward by many conservatives that death counts are being artificially inflated by counting deaths due to other causes just because they had tested positive for corona virus. Even if you wanted to argue the point, it only becomes a conspiracy theory if you believe they are doing it on purpose to achieve a goal. I posted a long argument to a friend on facebook who buys into that conspiracy theory. I have pretty much sworn off facebook because the politicizing of this crisis is hard on my blood pressure...it really bothers me and I am always upset after perusing FB.

Dave, the fact is ABC didn't retract the report and none of the other left media reported the denial. They all love to spread the lie starting with "ABC reports..." That way they don't have to stand the heat if it turns out false. They love the lie and don't bother to report the subsequent news that the ABC report was unfounded. They selectively chose what to report and not report. Watching FOX News you learn what the other media outlets are not reporting because it doesn't fit their narrative. Don't watch FOX stay ignorant.

I like Stu's anti-all-or-none stance when watching Fox News.

And Stu I have heard many different conspiracy theories including early on some of them from Trump himself and it's almost a certainty that when it's all over if social distancing and mitigation have done what they are supposed to in limiting the damage from the virus then Trump and his supporters will once again be beating the conspiracy drum.

Most all conspiracy theories have something to do with how "they" ( fake news, Democrats ) are out to get Trump.... out to make him look bad etc. etc. and "they" are willing to cast a virus plague on the universe to achieve that goal.
The fact that people post this crap on FB and argue with their friends and family over it is a sickness in America... and it pisses me off that Fox News commentators and Rush Limbaugh etc. etc. just love to stir up the conservative masses in the name of entertainment when the masses out there actually believe this **** lock stock and barrel and are willing to argue it's validity.
    You can't argue with crazy.....

Stir things up? How about the tinfoil hat thing all over the internet that Trump will benefit financially from hydroxychloroquine? Truth is his trust has approximately $450 in it.

Or how about when Rush said that the Chinese were trying to weaponize the pandemic situation to their benefit (like he said the Dems were weaponizing the Cavenaugh hearings) so CNN claims that he said that China released a bio weapon. Are they that STUPID or are they that DISHONEST?

I guess because of his evident genius and reems of research and knowledge when he makes statements like that is why Trump deemed him worthy of the the Medal of Freedom.

    You go Rush..... LMAO.

Here's some quotes from Bill DeBlasio's Health Commissioner.
    • Feb. 2:
” … I want to assure New Yorkers that there is no reason for anyone to change their holiday plans, avoid the subway, or certain parts of the city because of #coronavirus.”
    • Feb. 9:
“Today our city is celebrating the #LunarNewYear parade in Chinatown, a beautiful cultural tradition … I want to remind everyone to enjoy the parade and not change any plans due to misinformation spreading about #coronavirus.”
    • March 2:
“Our disease detectives have already identified close contacts of the patient, who may have been exposed, and will take appropriate measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19. … New Yorkers remain at low risk for contracting Covid-19.”
    • March 4:
“We know that there’s currently no indication that it’s easy to transmit by casual contact… We want New Yorkers to go about their daily lives, ride the subway, take the bus, go see your neighbors.” 16 days later, De Blasio was blaming Trump.

    re: newspapers

The last time the New York Times endorsed a Republican for president was Eisenhower.
The Washington Post has NEVER endorsed a Republican for president...

Can someone give me an explanation as to why Trump keeps repeating this one blatant lie that he "inherited" bad coronavirus tests?
"Since this is a new virus that was first identified nearly three years into Trump's presidency, the bad tests couldn't possibly be "inherited." In fact, the faulty initial test for the coronavirus from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention was created during Trump's administration in early 2020.
This is a claim Trump has made multiple times, and which we have also fact checked multiple times, including as recently as last night.
"He is lying. He is lying 100%. He is lying because he is trying to shift blame to others, even if the attempt is totally nonsensical," Gregg Gonsalves, an assistant professor in the Department of Epidemiology of Microbial Diseases at the Yale School of Public Health, said of an earlier version of this Trump claim.

He started out pointing out that the CDC test-development system was developed before his administration. True. And that development system ended up creating a faulty test. This is also true. He then starting claiming he inherited a faulty test, which could be a mistaken confluence of thoughts, or an outrageous lie. You know who knows the difference? Trump. And people that pretend they can read minds. Which happens a lot in the "news" and from every asshole that parrots their favorite "news" source.

Ultimately, what explanation is needed? First, people make mistakes. Second, politicians lie. :O

All of a sudden your "news" sources are shocked at that?

Oh, and third, "news" sources lie also. :O

You continue to claim to be the enlightened one, hanger-on of the intellectual elite which you claim to be CNN/MSNBC/Democratic party. Yet you continually ask everyone else to provide your thinking for you? It would appear you do very little thinking and analysis, and a huge amount of regurgitating of half-truth, innuendo, and blatant mis-quotes to support your chosen party's agenda, which right now is hating Trump. (For the 16 years before that, it was hating Bush, at least we're past that. For now.)

And this is the last free thinking I will do for you. For years your M.O. has been to throw out tons of ******** hoping to see something stick to the wall while ignoring every alternate viewpoint/explanation/analytical explanation while at the same time ignoring THOUGHTFUL questions/comparisons from alternate viewpoints. Until you start actually BEING balanced, you are yet another Rachel Maddow/Dave Acosta hate-filled, Nazi trying to tear apart half the country's citizens. Quite frankly, your game, which is the same game your favorite "news" sources play, is disgusting.

Enjoy your **** show. You can be better. So can CNN and MSNBC. They choose to hate instead. So do you.

Dave's the kind of person who, infected with TDS , he doesn't listen to what individuals are protesting, he looks at the hats their wearing. People are waiting on lines that are miles long to get something to eat from a food bank and he's put out that they want to work to feed their families. Why? Because if the leave their homes HE might get sick.

I don't recall any president in our history that blatantly lies as much as Trump does to suit his own purposes.
He takes lying to a whole new level and trust me those are my own thoughts.
I only ask for explanations because the logical side of me cannot understand how people continue to support such a liar as their president and I was hoping you could guys could explain that.

In Indianapolis, protester Andy Lyons said he understands the health risks. But he wants the government to back off.
"If I get sick, then I am going to bear the consequences of my getting sick," Lyons told CNN affiliate WTHR. "If anybody else gets sick, they bear the consequences of their free choice without government coercion to do so. That's what this is about."

If he would have finished the statement with I'll go home and stay home if I get it and die alone without infecting healthcare workers or people I know then what he said would be more acceptable except even that's not fair to those that got it from him because they didn't know he had it when they cashed him out at the grocery store etc.

No sir.... didn't support Gillum.... didn't know that much about him really.... but definitely did not want a continuation of Rick Scott ( only 11% of unemployment filers in Florida have yet to receive their unemployment in this crisis here.... thanks to that asshole ).
So I'm not rehashing Trump's crazy musings yesterday in his press briefing but what about this equally dangerous promotion of his a few weeks ago?
"For weeks, Trump and Fox News hosts and guests incessantly repeated unproven claims about hydroxychloroquine. The country's top infectious disease specialist, Dr. Anthony Fauci, tried valiantly to lower expectations. But Trump persisted. "I really think they should take it," he advised, blocking Fauci from commenting. We all wished there were a quick, easy cure, but we also wanted a responsible leader.
"It's just a feeling," he explained as he promoted the drug from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention headquarters. I'm a "smart guy." Trump said he had ordered 28 million doses; he wrongly claimed the US Food and Drug Administration approving hydroxychloroquine for Covid-19 treatment. People rushed to buy it, creating shortages for those who needed it to treat diseases like lupus."

He's a "smart guy".... with "just a feeling"..... really????
