Pebble Beach is one of the most beautiful courses on the tour and will no doubt be a tough test for the guys this weekend in the U.S. Open.

    Usual Suspects will be favored.

    Koepka of course
    Dustin of course
Tiger has been actually preparing for this one unlike the PGA.
Phil..can he finally get that elusive Open title.
Rory ...did he peak to soon at the Canadian where he just crushed the field?
Jordan Spieth.. he's played well recently is he finally back on track?
Patrick Cantlay...once the #1 Amateur in the World before injuries and person tragedy derailed him has played well this spring/summer.
Ricky Fowler ..can he finally get a major?
    Justin Thomas
    Jon Rahm

Looking forward to it, the venue and the field will be terrific. I wonder how punative the USGA will make the track. The players typically hate the way they set it up, frequently considering it no even fair. Whine, Whine, whine.

The US Open should be brutal....just like the Olympic Club in 1999...but allow the shorter knockers a chance also. Pebble might allow that this year.

Can Kopeka dig it out of 3 to 5 inch rough. Greens are going to be running at 12.5

Weather shouldn't be a factor. Dry, high in the sixties every day. The winds aren't going to be much of a factor. Players have to avoid big numbers on the "wall holes" 9 and 10 and stay out of the ocean on 18.

It's been a great Open so far, nobody had Gary Woodland that's for sure. Can he hang on? He started today at -11 and is now at -13. But Kopeka is lurking and has gotten off to a hot start and now sits at -11. The scenery is just majestic. I have Directv and they offer it in 4K so I've watched it in 4K it's noticeably better than 1080p, colors more vivid and everything is so much clearer.

Viktor Hovland finishes -4 and for now hold the record for the lowest 72 hole score for an Amateur. Wu though is still out on the course. Hovland will turn Pro tomorrow.

Oh yeah that guy from Jolly Ole England hanging in there as well.

Well it's tightening up Woodland is at -11 and Koepka is at -10.

Louis O is become a train wreck, was in contention when the day started.

Gutsy play by Woodland at 14, might have won him the US Open.

Is it just me but have Golf crowds gotten progressively more and more rowdy? This crowd at Pebble Beach has been very vocal, it seems like so many of the spectators all think they have to yell out ..In the Hole, or something original like that.

Koepka just lost it with a par on 18. Crushed a 3 iron over the green into a bad lie but still had a putt for birdie but missed the putt.

Way to finish with a flourish Gary! Drain a long birdie putt to finish! Good for him.

A really great Open. Not often a guy has 4 rounds in the 60's doesn't walk away with the Open title...except when the guy who beats you also shoots 4 rounds in the 60's .

Very entertaining tournament. Is it me or is coverage getting longer and longer every year? I missed Johnny Miller for a couple of years but the FOX crew is doing an OK job. When Klatt did the early coverage he was pretty good and sometimes funny. The real winner this week was Pebble. Always a great venue. {and my greatest golf memory is birdying no. 8)

For the record this is #8! I have to say after watching Pebble Beach over the years I'm not sure I'd want to actually play it without about 3 dozen golf balls and a bull horn to yell fore to those people strolling along the beach!

So gipper, chip in or 1 putt! :)

Hit a 5 iron from about 180 out and made about a 12 ft. putt. Remember it like it was yesterday instead of 25 yrs. ago.
