Deserve a topic of their own.

Let's start with a Kp quote
I agree mostly, but don't think Clemson has the offensive horses to stick with Bama and losing their best defensive lineman due to suspension will hurt them.

However their defense is still top notch and we will see whether they can stick with Bama.

Bill, the Clemson defense is in a different league than the Oklahoma defense and we lost our starting left guard a couple of weeks ago to some kind of NCAA suspension. That didn't show up in the Oklahoma game but the Clemson defensive line may exploit it. We won't score 45, I'll bet.

No doubt the Clemson defense even without Dexter Lawrence still has a ton of talent and depth on the line and will present a challenge for the Bama OL that they didn't have vs OU. Trevor Lawrence is a terrific young talent with a lot of weapons around him, whether he can exploit the Alabama defense like Kyler Murray did is yet to be seen. The broadcast crew on the ND/Clemson game commented that this years Clemson OL is the best they have seen in the Playoff era, they will be tested against that Alabama defense. ND defense kept Travis Etienne in check for most of the night except that one big run. I imagine the Alabama defense will be able to do even better. It's going to get down to can Travis Lawrence hold up against the Bama defense. Can Clemson avoid a big early hole like OU, if they can trade punches with Bama it'll be a close game into the 4th quarter.

That's the same way that Clemson lost their DT who was the best on the team. So I guess that kind of offsets.

I don't think you score 45 either but then I don't think Clemson scores over 30 against you.

No doubt these are the two premier programs in college football right now with Georgia, Ohio State, Oklahoma knocking on the door.

It baffles me why the Big 12 doesn't seem to be able to get defensive players.

I does me as well Bill. Texas High Schools produce a lot of great players at all positions right there with Fla, Georgia, California and Ohio. So it would seem that Texas and OU at least would have more than their share of that talent.

Yeah the guard we lost was a starter but I wouldn't say he was our best offensive lineman. That is just one of the breaks of the game. Other than that we should be all ready to go. We committed some stupid penalties yesterday that also could really cost us in a closer game. They need to be eliminated.

That game yesterday turned sloppy and it showed in both teams.

I still see Alabama as the odds on favorite.
